Our Story
One morning I woke up with a simple desire — to share my humorous side with the world. Not through jokes or viral memes, but through cute, creative, custom-designed items that make everyday life feel a little more fun.
As an introvert, sharing pieces of yourself doesn’t always come naturally. But sometimes the best stories start in unexpected places.
Newsideline was born one December day while I was working at the library. A patron came in with an unusual question about designing a dish towel. (No — we don’t loan out dish towels!) They wanted to create something custom using our software, and as we worked on it together, we both felt that spark of excitement that comes from making something personal and meaningful.
I went home that evening inspired — and started building what would eventually become Newsideline.
The name tells the story:
- New — a new creative journey for me
- Side — a side business built with intention as I plan toward retirement
- Line — a line of custom-designed items created just for you
With over 18 years working in the library world — and 15 years before that in commercial mortgages — I’ve learned that people value comfort, creativity, and a little humor in their everyday lives.
Newsideline is for fellow introverts, homebodies, and anyone who appreciates quiet moments, clever humor, and thoughtful design.
